Fairs in Potsdam

Since 1990, the Brandenburg capital Potsdam has been the service and administration center of the state. With over 171,000 inhabitants and an average age of 42.7 years, Potsdam is one of the youngest provincial capitals in Germany. In recent years, the city has gradually developed into a regional trade fair location with a capital city flair with the Potsdam Trade Fair. However, the state capital of Brandenburg has also made a name for itself internationally as a location for science with the establishment of more than 30 research institutions and research-related companies. Another important factor of the Potsdam economy is tourism, attracted by the famous Sanssouci Palace and the Dutch Quarter.

Consumer exhibitions in the focus of Messe Potsdam

The program of Messe Potsdam has largely been set at public fairs. Every year, the LebensArt Fair for Garden, Living and Lifestyle takes place in Potsdam and presents the entire spectrum of home, table culture and garden. In addition to seasonal garden and plant arrangements, new ideas from the living and furnishing sector as well as selected exhibits from fashion and jewelery ensure a harmonious ambience in which visitors will feel at home. House, energy and the environment are the focus of the public exhibition Neue PostdamBau, which is held annually in the Metropolis Hall of Filmpark Babelsberg.
