The Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) venue is bursting at the seams: PTC ASIA, taking place October 23 to 26, will cover a display area of 100,000 square metres. "This year, we have to open two temporary halls to meet the space requirements", says Krister Sandvoss, global director of Deutsche Messe. PTC ASIA and ComVac ASIA are staged alongside CeMAT ASIA organised by Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, the joint subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG and Fiera Milano. The company expects more than 100,000 visitors at the tradeshow trio. A further highlight: For the first time, the Factory Business Conference Shanghai will run parallel to the expo, with 400 Japanese companies from sectors such as automation, electrical engineering, energy, new materials, robotics, lean production and environmental protection. The programme consists of an exhibition as well as forums, factory tours and matchmaking activities to strengthen the exchange between Japanese and Chinese manufacturers.
