Messe Düsseldorf managing director stands down

Hans Werner Reinhard has decided to stand down as operational managing director of Messe Düsseldorf with effect from December 31, 2019. He made his decision known to the company's supervisory board at the end of June. The reason for his decision: The Reinhard family is relocating to South Germany. As operational managing director, 48-year old Reinhard was responsible for the departments corporate development, market research and the world reference fairs Boot, Drupa, Energy Storage Europe, Euroshop and Eurocis, Interpack/components for processing and packaging, ProWein and its subsidiaries around the world. For a while, Reinhard had been regarded as the favourite to take over as CEO. However, in the last few years, relationships had changed and deteriorated.
