Ecknig to head Messe Berlin

Martin Ecknig has been announced as the CEO of Messe Berlin. He succeeds Christian Göke, who is leaving the company at the end of December 2020 after more than 20 years at the helm. Ecknig will start in his post on January 1, 2021. The 53-year-old is moving from Siemens to the trade fair company. In his career at the engineering group, he gathered experience in business development in an international corporate environment. His tasks in various board functions took him, among other places, to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. His most recent role was as real estate business partner within Siemens. (ch)
