Aichi Sky Expo: first anniversary
Aichi International Convention & Exhibition Center

Aichi Sky Expo opened in September 2019 with the ambition to be a proactive player on the MICE market. From August 30, 2019 through March 31, 2020 the venue located next to Chubu international airport welcomed more than 675,000 visitors and the team successfully hosted a broad range of 83 events: trade shows, exhibitions, sport competitions, e-sports, concerts, corporate events and congresses. Two major challenges that the fourth largest and newest convention and exhibition centre in Japan has faced since the beginning of 2020: the outbreak of COVID-19 and the postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. In the meantime, the team continues to develop its strategy to provide organisers, exhibitors and visitors further business opportunities in Aichi, strengthen the attractiveness of the destination and contribute to the economic development of the region, says Morgan Chaudeler, president and CEO Aichi International Convention & Exhibition Center. The centre is operated by GL events and Maeda Corporation. (ch)       aichiskyexpo.com/english/
