New responsibilities at Messe Frankfurt

On January 1, 2020, Michael Biwer (39) took over as head of the Guest Events division of Messe Frankfurt. In this function, Biwer is responsible for some 280 guest events, congresses, conferences, events and concerts each year. Biwer succeeds Johann Thoma and reports to Uwe Behm, CEO of Messe Frankfurt. Biwer is carrying out his new function as vice president of Guest Events in addition to his existing responsibilities as group show director for Entertainment, Media & Creative Industries. As of May 2020, he will then concentrate exclusively on his new role. Biwer joined Messe Frankfurt in 2004 since when he has held various positions.
