Paris headquartered global events organiser Comexposium has entered into exclusive discussions with Vinexpo Holding to establish a new joint venture. The new joint venture would include the wine and spirits events from each group, Wine Paris, World Wine Meetings, World Bulk Wine Exhibition (Europe and Asia), from Comexposium, and Vinexpo (Bordeaux, Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai and New York) as well as the Vinexpo Explorer events from Vinexpo Holding. Vinexpo Holding, founded in 1981, is run by the Bordeaux-Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIBG), and organises wine events around the world. Comexposium acquired Adhesion Group in 2017 to develop its wine sector events, and since has grown the portfolio, including launching Paris' first major international wine trade event, Wine Paris. Together, the new business would become the foremost events organiser serving the wine and spirit industry with 10 events, serving over 78,000 visitors and 5,900 exhibitors in Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Shanghai and Yantai. Further, it will look to continue to create new events and developments throughout the world to help support the growth of the international wine and spirits sector. Additionally, Comexposium has entered into exclusive discussions to acquire Europa Group, Europe's leading healthcare and scientific congress organiser. Europa Group serves the scientific and medical communities with opportunities to meet, learn, and exchange ideas. The group oversees 50 congresses, as well as websites and content products, aimed at scientific communities around the world, uniting more than 170,000 professionals each year. Some of its most well-known events are EuroPCR and the Congrès de la Société Française d'Ophtalmologie.
