No other event in the Indian auto business is as big as the Auto Expo, according to Indian exhibition experts of Exhibition Showcase. The show organised by SIAM - Society of Automobile Manufacturers and ACMA - Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India is scheduled to take place from February 7 to 12, 2020 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, and aims, according to the organisers, to be "the biggest auto extravaganza". However, amid the deterring slowdown that has struck the auto industry, the question is how grand the 2020 Auto Expo will be and how many automakers will participate in its upcoming edition. If reports are to be believed, there are quite a number of automakers who will be skipping the upcoming Auto Expo. Prominent car-makers like Honda, Ford, Toyota, Lexus, Volvo, BMW, Audi, Jaguar Land Rover and the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group (including Jeep) have decided to let this auto expo go. Surprisingly, Citroen, which is all set to enter the Indian market in a couple of years and was to display its first India bound model, has also opted out of the event, reports state.
