Kick-start in January

The UFI-Exhibition Management Degree (EMD) will kick-start the new season with its 2020 edition in Muscat, Oman. The international professional standard for exhibition organisers and event professionals is coming to Oman for the first time. It is divided into four modules totalling 150 hours. Both the on-site course and the e-learning sessions are held by a group of renowned, international instructors and exhibition industry experts. The on-site course is scheduled for January 26 to 29, 2020 at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The e-learning sessions, modules 2/3 and the final module 4, must be completed between February and April, 2020 and between May and June, 2020, respectively. Given the high quality of the programme and UFI’s reputation for excellence, the UFI-Exhibition Management Degree (UFI-EMD) is highly valued and appreciated across the exhibition industry and around the globe. Additional benefits include improving customer satisfaction and strengthening the planning and production of trade shows, conventions and events. “Just this year, UFI calculated the economic impact and the size of the exhibition industry around the world. In the Middle East, the industry serves 125,000 exhibiting companies at trade shows that welcome 6.3 million visitors while supporting more than 31,000 jobs,” says Naji El Haddad, UFI's MEA Regional Manager. “Exhibitions add 1.4 billion USD to the Middle East economy and there is a lot of potential to grow this further. This growth depends on having qualified and educated staff and management and it is here that UFI supports with a portfolio of respected education programmes”, said Said Al Shanfari, CEO of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC). Over 500 graduates from 30+ counties hold the UFI-Exhibition Management Degree.
